We believe school can be challenging, engaging, and joyful.

Children will be immersed in units of study that require applying knowledge in several disciplines simultaneously (Social Studies and Language Arts, for example). The use of authentic tasks like experiments, field trips, real life projects, and book clubs make learning a more natural, fun and meaningful experience. Students enjoy a high level of choice and decision making in their learning, which increases motivation and engagement and teaches independent thinking and responsibility. Our approach includes time for collaboration and group work as well as individualized and small group instruction. This framework requires highly trained professionals who use informal and formal assessments to tailor their teaching to each student’s needs.
